here is the my concept about the lost world challenge on 3dm public community.
My lost world concept is based on the depiction of many types of civilisations suggested by the different architectural buildings, reprezented as one. But there are some differences between the worlds within world by the water that is between them. The moment that i wanted to capture is the last moment of that peacefull world, before its destruction, represented by the figter flying machines.
That is the main concept behind the image.
It was made in adobe photoshop and a wacom tablet.
I used references images of different temples and castles in the assembly of the fortress, and combining many images building the environment, and a vietnamese sailing boat as a reference for the fighter flying machines. Also used custom brushes to blend the elements and finally color correction and athmospheric effects.
